This is for those who are sponsored and nominated in eligible occupations to work in Australia on a temporary or permanent basis.
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482)
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2-year relevant experience
- Formal labour market test (LMT) required
- Minimum salary (TSMIT) and Annual market salary rate (AMSR) apply
- Applicants whose occupation is in the short-term stream can be sponsored for up to 2 years (up to 4 years if Australia’s international trade obligations (ITO) applies)
- Applicants whose occupation is in the medium & long-term stream can be sponsored for up to 4 years
- Applicants in the medium & long-term stream may apply for transition to PR subclass 186 visa after working for the sponsor for three years
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 494)
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3-year relevant skilled experience on a full-time basis (please note the differences to 482 visa)
- Being nominated by employer in eligible occupations located in a designated regional area
- The vacancy cannot be readily filled by locals (no LMT required)
- Minimum salary (TSMIT) and Annual market salary rate (AMSR) apply
Employer nominated visa (Subclass 186)
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3-year relevant skilled experience on a full-time basis (please note the differences to 482 visa)
- Being nominated by employer in eligible occupations
- The vacancy cannot be readily filled by Australia workers (no LMT required)
- Minimum salary (TSMIT) and Annual market salary rate (AMSR) apply
