You may be eligible to apply for a Student visa when you secure a Confirmation of enrolment for course/s like Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree at college/ University of your choice.

Student Visa Extension

If you wish to continue studying in Australia, you may be able to apply for a further student subclass 500 visa whilst in Australia.

Graduate Temporary Subclass 485 Visas

Upon completion of your course (min. 2years study), you may be eligible for graduate work visa. This gives you full work rights in Australia for 18 months.

General Skilled Migration

International students have several advantages in applying for skilled migration. Under the points test system, additional points are available for studies in Australia, or studying in a regional area. In addition, points may be added due to your Australian work experience. Also, an Australian qualification makes it easier to get a skills assessment in a skilled occupation.

Visa Requirements

  • Your course must be a CRICOS-registered course
  • You must be able to demonstrate to the Immigration that you are a Genuine Temporary Entrant

English Language Ability

You are required to provide a proof of English Language proficiency to your Education provider as well as Immigration. The requirement will depend on the type of course you enrol in.

If you have low English scores, you may be asked to complete ELICOS (English language) studies as part of a packaged course.

You may be exempt from English language testing if:

You hold a passport from certain countries or have previously studied in Australia

Financial Requirement

You may be required to provide financial proof to show your ability to support your education and living expenses in Australia.

Health Insurance

You must hold adequate health insurance policy before you apply for student visa.

Visa Conditions

You can work for up to 40 hours a fortnight whilst your course is in session.

You must maintain continuous study requirement.
